Youth in Policy and Governance (YPG) Fellows Karnali Province (2024-25)

Dipak Budhathoki, Program Coordinator of the Karnali Society of International Law (KARNALISIL), is a dedicated law student from Humla with a passion for human rights, international space law, and youth empowerment. He actively works to bridge the gap between legal frameworks and societal progress, focusing on research and policy-making. With a vision for progressive legal systems that address contemporary challenges and the future of space governance, Dipak is committed to shaping laws that protect human rights both on Earth and beyond.

Ganesh Dangi is a dedicated law student at Mid-West University from Sanibheri Rural Municipality, Rukum West, Karnali Province. As the Chairman of the Legal and Social Development Center (LSDC), he actively engages with various nonprofit organizations, advocating for legal awareness, social justice, and youth empowerment. Passionate about policy engagement and fighting injustice, he has been leading legal awareness campaigns in rural Karnali and recently participated in the YPG Fellowship Program. He also contributed to organizing the 6th Edition of Karnali Utsav – Kuda Karnalika. With a long-term goal of becoming a prominent lawyer, he aspires to build a more just and inclusive society.

Ganga Sharma, from Birendranagar-11, Surkhet, is an undergraduate law student at Mid-West University, School of Law. She is passionate about civil rights and constitutional law and actively engages in justice sector initiatives as a Legal and Social Development Center member. A skilled writer and dedicated mentor, she strives to protect the rights of others and aspires to become a lawyer. Beyond academics, she enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, writing, and playing games.


Gopal Bahadur Aidee, from Mugu District, is a final-year B.A.LL.B student at Mid-Western University Graduate School of Law, aspiring to build a career in the legal field. He is affiliated with Chayannath legal counseling center, where he applies his theoretical knowledge in practice. Actively involved in moot court competitions and a member of Neb Law Students of Nepal, he is passionate about criminal law, constitutional law, and human rights. Through legal writing and advocacy, he strives to promote justice and the rule of law, with aspirations to become a senior advocate or judge in the future.


Pooja Damai is a passionate youth leader and Chairman of the District-level Youth Human Rights Defenders Network in Birendranagar, Surkhet. Currently pursuing her Bachelor of Education, she is dedicated to empowering young voices in social justice, human rights, and community engagement. Beyond her advocacy work, Pooja enjoys traveling and cooking, fueling her curiosity and creativity while striving for a more just and inclusive society.

Pradeep Bohara is a passionate youth leader, the Ward Chairman of Naraharinath Rural Municipality-9, Kalikot, and the Spokesperson of Naraharinath Rural Municipality, Kalikot. He earned a bachelor’s degree in social work and political science from Tribhuvan University in 2019. He is dedicated to government service delivery and empowering young voices in social justice, human rights, community engagement, and good governance. Beyond his advocacy work, Pradeep enjoys traveling, visiting new places, singing, and swimming, fueling his curiosity and creativity while striving for a more just and inclusive society.

Prakash B.K. is a dedicated student leader and Vice President of the Karnali Province Committee of the All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary). Known for his strong voice on student issues, he has made a significant impact at a young age. Currently pursuing his Master’s degree at the Central Department of Nepali, Graduate School of Education, Mid-West University, he is also a passionate writer and artist. His interests include writing songs, ghazals, poems, and short stories, along with painting, where he has established himself as a skilled artist.

Rajendra Adhikari is a dedicated youth activist from Karnali Province, Nepal. Recognized as one of the ‘Top 100 Youths of Nepal 2021’, he has been honored with awards like the ‘Icon of the Karnali Province Award 2024’ and ‘Young Professional of the Year Award 2023’ for his contributions to youth empowerment and leadership. As the Executive Vice-President of the Bhagawatimai Rural Youth Council and founder of the Dream Big Project Nepal, he works to uplift rural youth and inspire them to pursue their passions. With over 400 motivational speeches impacting 8,000+ youths and students, he has also trained young leaders in Mock Youth and Child Parliament Practices in collaboration with organizations like the National Youth Council Nepal and Save the Children Nepal. Actively engaged in national and international discussions, Rajendra is committed to fostering leadership, integrity, and positive change among Nepal’s youth.

Rachmi Shahi is a law student at Mid-West University School of Law. Originally from Dailekh, she now resides in Surkhet. She is passionate about legal studies, literature, and personal growth. Her hobbies include playing volleyball, listening to music, and reading magazines, poems, and novels.

Samikshya Nepali is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Studies from Tribhuvan University, passionate about public speaking and social engagement. She enjoys meaningful conversations, learning new perspectives, and contributing to positive change. Her interests include reading, travelling, and exploring to broaden her understanding of the world. With diploma-level computer skills, she stays updated on technology and digital trends. A firm believer in continuous learning and self-improvement, she is always seeking opportunities for growth.

Srijana Sharma from Jumla is an Ayurveda doctor and a recent graduate of Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Passionate about holistic healing, she aims to integrate Ayurveda with modern healthcare practices. As a Fulbright Global UGRAD alumna, she brings a global perspective to wellness and patient care. A strong voice for equitable healthcare and policy reform, Srijana actively engages in research, leadership initiatives, and community-driven projects. Beyond medicine, she enjoys reading, yoga, traveling, writing, and photography, which enrich her understanding of health and well-being.


Yubraj Khadka is a dedicated youth leader from Salyan, Karnali Province, Nepal, committed to youth empowerment, sustainable development, and social justice. With over three years of experience working with the National Youth Council of Nepal, he has focused on youth development and implementing SDG 16 by promoting peaceful, inclusive societies and accountable institutions. As a National Trainer for the Youth Parliament Exercise program, he has empowered youth across Nepal by equipping them with governance, leadership, and constitutional knowledge.
He currently serves as a member of the U.S. Embassy Youth Council Nepal (2025) and as Executive Vice President of the Kumakh Rural Municipality Youth Council, advocating for youth participation in policy-making. Yubraj has played a key role in conducting the Youth Representative Assembly under the Federal Model Youth Parliament and has facilitated local governance simulations in 50 districts. Through writing articles and engaging in media platforms, he strives to influence policy changes, raise awareness on youth issues, and promote inclusive development, ensuring youth voices are heard in Nepal and beyond.
