Mr. Dinesh Gautam is the Executive Director of Hriti Foundation, bringing extensive experience in the field of public policies. He also serves as the Executive Director of Karnali Utsav, Kuda Karnalika. Mr. Gautam holds a master’s degree in Management from Tribhuvan University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Development Economics from Midwest University.
He is the founder and editor of Tanneri Voice Monthly, a prominent monthly publication. Additionally, he is a prolific blogger, regularly contributing to his own blog and writing articles for Sajhabisaunee Daily.
He is actively involved with Tanneri Chaso Surkhet as the Founder President and serves as a province focal person for Accountability Lab Nepal and CMR Nepal. Previously, Mr. Gautam held the position of President of the Student Council at Surkhet Model College, where he completed his undergraduate studies.
His multifaceted involvement in various organizations and his commitment to public policy and community development underscore his dedication to fostering positive change in Nepal.
Mr. Kamal Raj Lamsal, one of the co-founders of Hriti Foundation has long experience in the teaching filed. He is a researcher and he also has long experience in online media. He has good communication skills. Mr. Kamal Raj Lamsal has assigned the works of research and publication as their interest. He completed his master’s degree in humanities. Kamal Lamsal has been working as an assistant professor at Mid-Western University. He is also a desk editor of Serophero.com, a popular online news portal in Nepal. In the past, he worked in different NGOs. He is coordinating the Karnali Utsav- a marketplace of ideas, the most popular public discourse of Karnali Province organized by Hriti Foundation.
Mr. Shyam Bhandari, admin and finance officer of Hriti Foundation has long experience in finance. He has working experience different NGOs as a finance and admin officer. He completed his master degree in management from Tribhuwan University. Mr. Shyam Bhandari has more knowledge in finance and administration management. He is also an event coordinator of Karnali Utsav, Kuda Karnalika.
Akash Shrestha is a policy researcher with over a decade of experience in advancing market-based solutions, entrepreneurship, fiscal federalism, and public financial management in Nepal. He holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Warwick, UK, where his research focused on the intersection of fiscal and regulatory climate policies and technological innovation, and a second Master of Arts in Political Science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
Between 2013 to 2023, Akash held multiple leadership roles at Samriddhi Foundation, Nepal’s leading economic policy think tank, where he led strategic research and advocacy efforts, shaped public discourse, advised government and private sector stakeholders, and helped establish six provincial-level think tanks to localize policy reforms. He has collaborated with institutions like GIZ, National Planning Commission, National Democratic Institute, and the World Bank, contributing to studies on investment policy, tax regimes, federalism, and building resilient MSMEs.
Akash also serves as an adjunct faculty at King’s College, Nepal, teaching courses in economics and public policy, while mentoring young scholars. He has represented institutions in global consortiums and has authored numerous influential policy papers and publications.
He was a runner-up in the Global Think Tank Shark Tank Competition (2020), and winner of the 2017 John Blundell Elevator Pitch Competition in the US. Proficient in econometrics, R programming, and data visualization, Akash combines analytical rigor with strategic insight to influence policy in Nepal and beyond.
Susmi Sapkota is a creative learner dedicated to mastering research methodologies. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Amity University, awarded as Best Student- International Business. With experience hosting numerous events, she excels in public speaking. She firmly believes in continuous growth, constantly competing with herself in both personal and professional endeavors.
Ganesh Dangi is a dedicated law student at Mid-West University from Sanibheri Rural Municipality, Rukum West, Karnali Province. He is working as Program Associate at Hriti Foundation. He actively engages with various nonprofit organizations, advocating for legal awareness, social justice, and youth empowerment. With a long-term goal of becoming a prominent lawyer, he aspires to build a more just and inclusive society.
Ganga Sharma is currently serving as a Program Intern at Hriti Foundation. She is a student at the Mid-West University School of Law and an alumna of the Youth in Policy and Governance Fellowship. In addition, she has been consistently contributing to Karnali Utsav: Kuda Karnalika as a dedicated volunteer.
Gopal Prasad Aidee is currently serving as a Research Intern at Hriti Foundation. He is a student at the Mid-West University School of Law and an alumni of the Youth in Policy and Governance Fellowship. In addition, he has been consistently contributing to Karnali Utsav: Kuda Karnalika as a dedicated volunteer.
Ganesh Bahadur Thapa is currently serving as a Tech Intern at Hriti Foundation. He is a student at the Mid-West University School of Law.
