Youth in Policy and Governance (YPG)
The Youth in Policy and Governance (YPG) Fellowship is a year-long program aimed at educating and mobilizing youth in provincial policymaking across Nepal. Launched in 2020, the fellowship has successfully completed five cohorts in Gandaki, Karnali, Madesh and Koshi provinces. This initiative seeks to engage youth in bridging gaps in parliamentary understanding and enhancing inclusive governance.
The Karnali-based fellowship will train 50 youths aged 20-30, producing 12 fellows who will support Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) through research and policy input. Hriti Foundation collaborates with experts, policymakers, and government officials. The YPG Fellowship aims to strengthen democratic processes, improve provincial legislation, and empower youth in shaping Nepal’s future governance.
