Hriti Foundation has organized Youth in Policy and Governance (YPG) Alumni Meet Up on May 9 at Birendranagar, Surkhet. Five fellows (among 12) of the YPG and the representatives of Hriti Foundation were present at the meeting. All the fellows who participated in the meeting shared their observations on current political affairs in Karnali.
The main agenda of the meeting was about the re-engagement of the alumni. During the meet-up, Mr. Dinesh Gautam, Executive Director of Hriti Foundation shared the re-engagement plan with the participants. The re-engagement program contains various activities relating to youth in policy and governance. Particularly fellows’ engagement with the MPs, organizing policy workshops, and research are some of the major activities of the re-engagement plan. All the activities will be led by the fellows themselves in coordination with Hriti Foundation. Mr. Kamal Lamsal, chairperson of Hriti Foundation shared among the fellows about the political contents of Karnali in short.
Hriti Foundation, with the collaboration of Pokhara Research Center (PRC) and support from the US Embassy in Nepal, has organized YPG fellowship program in Karnali. Under the fellowship, the foundation has trained 12 finalists and they worked as the knowledge assistant of the provincial assembly members in Karnali.
Youth in Policy and Governance fellowship program was Pre-professional Parliamentary Support Program (PPSP) fellowship previously.
