Karnali Policy Outreach Centre

The Karnali Policy Outreach Center is a joint initiative of the Kathmandu University School of Management Policy Lab (KUSOM Policy Lab) and Hriti Foundation, policy think tanks based in Karnali Province.

The center aims to enhance policy research and governance in Karnali Province through rigorous research, education, capacity building, public engagement, and policy dialogues. The center was established in November 2023 with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organizations. The center conducts various activities such as in-depth research, public policy forums, workshops, and active public engagement initiatives to bridge the gap between research and policymaking, fostering informed decision-making at the provincial level. The center is expected to contribute to improved policies, informed decision-making, and a forum for stakeholders and policymakers to discuss local development and governance issues in the province.
