Hriti Foundation successfully conducted the Youth in Policy and Governance (YPG) Fellowship Training Camp II from January 9 to 13, 2025, in Birendranagar, Surkhet. Supported by the U.S. Embassy Nepal in collaboration with the Karnali Provincial Assembly and Purak Asia, this training camp aimed to empower youth for active engagement in governance and policymaking.
The training camp focused on enhancing youths’ knowledge and skills in governance, research, leadership, fiscal federalism, public policy formulation processes, and public speaking. Expert facilitators guided interactive sessions, helping participants understand the intricacies of Nepal’s governance systems and the critical role of youth in democratic processes. The camp brought together 25 youths from across Karnali Province.
The top 12 youths from these 25 participants will be selected for the training camp III. Following the training, they will have the unique opportunity to work as knowledge assistants to the Karnali Provincial Assembly members for six months, gaining hands-on experience in governance and policymaking.
