In the third session (winter session) of the Karnali Provincial Assembly, a total of 11 meetings were held. However, the session failed to pass any bill. According to the attendance of the session, it appears that only 19 out of the 40-member provincial assembly attended all of the meetings of the winter session.

Foreign investment is flowing into Karnali province following a successful investment summit in Kathmandu. 39  projects were presented from Karnali, attracting investment interest. Notably, an Australian company, ‘Expert Group,’ will invest in building the first luxury resort in the prime tourist destination of the Rara Lake area.

The 574 ‘low budgetplans’ included in the budget program of the Karnali government for the current fiscal year have yet to be implemented. Due to budget constraints, the blueprint for the implementation of these plans has not been prepared. With only two months remaining in the current fiscal year, the risk of these plans not being implemented has escalated.
