On September 18, 2024, Hriti Foundation organized the second round of stakeholder discussions focused on the economic growing agendas of Karnali Province. The event provided an opportunity to present ongoing research by Hriti Foundation on potential areas for economic growth in the province, while gathering additional insights from stakeholders. Attendees included government employees from Karnali, private sector leaders, entrepreneurs, and financial journalists.
Madan Kumar Giri, Senior Section Officer of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, Karnali Province Government, delivered a presentation on the Market System Development (MSD) Approach, which aims to enhance market system based economic strategies. The stakeholders stressed the importance of ensuring that government projects are based on data and focused on delivering tangible results. Participants also called for collaboration between sectors to strengthen economic governance in Karnali.
