The Karnali province government’s popular programs are failing due to political instability. Initiatives like ‘Mukhya Mantri Mahila Ayaaarjan’ have stalled for three years, along with others such as ‘Bank Khata Chhoriko; Surakshya Jiwanbhariko’ and ‘Karnali Ujyalo.’
The Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has stated that the forthcoming budget of the Karnali Province government will not prioritize distribution-oriented projects. He mentioned that the project selection system could not be established for seven years after the formation of the provincial structure. Kandel explained that development outcomes have not met expectations due to the inability to change the project selection system at the province level.
