We’re pleased to share the successful completion of the workshop “Driving Economic Impact: From Evidence to Systemic Project Design”, held from April 28 to 30, 2025, in Birendranagar, Surkhet. The event was organized by Hriti Foundation in coordination with the Karnali Province Planning Commission and supported by the Subnational Governance Program (SNGP).
This three-day workshop brought together officials from various entities of the Karnali Province Government. Through interactive sessions and practical discussions, participants explored ways to rethink public investment strategies, apply Market Systems Development (MSD) principles, and strengthen evidence-based policymaking using relevant tools.
The sessions covered key MSD concepts including systems thinking, facilitation, inclusion, adaptive management, and project cycle design. Facilitators Sudeep Bajracharya and Akash Shrestha led insightful conversations on applying MSD to public investment processes and designing smart, impactful policies. A focused discussion was also held on the Apple Market value chain in Karnali Province, highlighting opportunities to apply MSD thinking in local economic sectors.
