Birendranagar Municipality, the capital city of Karnali Province, has announced its budget of about 30 billion rupees for the fiscal year 2023/24 on June 16. Out of 79, 30 local levels of Karnali province have reported Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration about their annual budget by June 27. Every local level has compliance to submit their approved expected income and expenditure by the 25th of June. Read More.

The meeting of the Karnali Province Assembly has been postponed till July 2. On June 28, the main opposition party CPN UML blocked the parliament saying that the Chief Minister and the Finance Minister were arbitrary in the budget.
