Hriti Foundation in collaboration with Martin Chautari, a research institution based in Kathmandu, has organized an interaction program titled “Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Federal System: Various Aspects of Operation and Management” on March 30 in Surkhet. About 20 individuals, including officials of Birendranagar Municipality and District Administration Office Surkhet, working in non-governmental organizations in Karnali Province, participated in the program.
In the interaction program, there was a discussion about the activities of the NGOs in Karnali and their challenges in the federal setup. Participants also discussed the opportunities of the CSOs and the way forward. They urged the provincial government not being able to endorse any acts regarding non-governmental organizations in Karnali.
The discussion was also helpful for further coordination of GOs and NGOs.
